UPHOLSTERY CLEANING CODES
That is why each manufacturer will provide a tag equipped with a code that will identify which cleaning methods are best. Typically found under the center cushion these codes provide valuable insight into the best way for the upholstery to be cleaned.
The codes are more for upholstery owners since a trained professional will be able to identify the proper cleaning solution based on the fabric types. At Steam Squad, we are approved by the Carpet & Rug Institute as a Seal of Approval provider, and understand the proper way to translate those codes in order to provide the most optimal result at the end of the cleaning process.
There are only a few types of cleaning codes and will fall under the following categories:

X: Very rare, these codes typically reflect fragile fibers that would be found in drapes, curtains, or fabric blinds. In these situations, we would simply use a vacuum cleaner on a gentle cycle to remove any accumulated dust or particulates.
