Properly cleaning your rug

Your rug can represent a significant investment and requires specialized care during the cleaning process. After we measure and evaluate the condition of the rug, we will conduct a process proven to ensure your area or Oriental rug is properly cleaned.

Step 1: Assess the Fabric

Our cleaning process will be determined by the type of textiles present in your rug. Natural fibers will be addressed differently than synthetic fibers due to the difference in response to certain temperatures. For example, polyester and other synthetic fibers can be cleaned with very hot water. Natural fibers such as wool, however, must be cleaned with water no hotter than 145 degrees.

Step 2: Vacuuming & Dusting

Using gentle rotary tools, we will scrub the rug, attacking dirt at all angles.

Step 4: Fringe Cleaning

After the rug has been cleaned, we will take the time to gently brush and clean the fringe around the perimeter of the rug.

Step 5: Fresh Water Rinsing & Extracting

Once the dust is removed, we will pre-treat any spots, spills or stains present on the rug. Next, we will completely submerge the rug in a soap-free water solution, which is safe for all fibers and environmentally friendly. Step 6: Brushing
